Olympiacos FC were seconds away from recording their first victory in the UEFA Champions League, but a last-minute goal by PSV Eindhoven at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium in Piraeus on Tuesday night meant the Greeks shared the points with the Dutch champions.

The Reds dominated in the first half, scoring their only goal in the 18th minute with Gelson Martins, who also hit the post in the 61st minute.

This is the second draw after their opening goalless match against Cypriot Pafos. The Greek champions, who brought their points tally to two in the group stage, lost their previous two away games at the hands of Barcelona and Arsenal, considered by many to be among the top favorites to win the whole competition.

In their last heavy defeat (6-1) against the Spanish giants, the Greek team was dealt a bad hand after being left with 10 men for most of the second half following an egregious refereeing error (an unjust red card).
