The Hellenic Police is launching traffic restrictions from Nov. 15–18, with major streets closing and parking bans in place as they enforce security measures for the 52nd Polytechnic uprising commemoration

Motorists should expect road closures, diversions and heavy vehicle bans ahead of the October 28 'Ohi Day' parades and events.

Traffic restrictions are in place in central Athens on Friday, September 5, due to the Historic Acropolis Rally, with drivers urged to avoid affected streets and follow police directions

Traffic authorities are urging drivers to avoid the route and seek alternative roads as delays are expected to continue while the vehicles are cleared and the scene is investigated

These closures will remain in effect until the conclusion of the ongoing strike demonstrations, which began at 10:00 am today.

Road closures and transportation changes will be in effect across Athens and Piraeus until the National Day events conclude
