According to estimates from the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, annual retail sales appear to be stabilizing, with growth projected at around 5%.

The 2026 winter sales begin on Monday, January 12, and will run until February 28, with retailers required to comply with strict transparency rules aimed at protecting consumers

Winter Sales to last until February 27th, with retail stores remaining open on Sunday, January 18th, and Sunday, January 25th.

Meanwhile, regarding market oversight, the Ministry of Development emphasizes that strict inspections are ongoing across the entire market, supported by new digital tools.

The trend of early sales is fueled by the influence of major online retailers like Amazon and Asos, which have begun offering discounts ahead of Greek retailers, acting as a benchmark for price comparisons.
