Starting on Thursday, July 10, Athens International Airport’s (AIA) short term parking space will be closed as construction begins on a new seven-story parking area that will be able to accommodate 3,365 vehicles, AIA announced.

To facilitate the construction, Short Term 1 parking will be relocated to the Long Term parking area, near the pedestrian bridge that connects to the Main Terminal. Signage along the Attiki Odos motorway will direct drivers to the new Short Term 1 area and provide real-time updates on parking availability in Short Term 1, Short Term 2, and Long Term parking zones.

Motorcycle Parking at Athens Airport

The previous outdoor motorcycle parking zone and Short Term 1 are now closed. AIA has designated a new free parking area for motorcycles within the Long Term parking section. This area features a separate entrance for easier access.

AIA advises travelers planning to park after July 10 allow extra time to find parking and navigate the updated layout.
