The U.S. military shot down an Iranian drone on Tuesday as it approached the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea, a U.S. official told Reuters.
The drone, identified as an Iranian-made Shahed-139, was flying toward the carrier when it was intercepted and destroyed by a U.S. F-35 fighter jet, the official said.
