Hollywood “A-lister” Brad Pitt is expected to arrive on the upscale isle of Hydra in the coming days, possibly on Friday, to shoot scenes for his new film, titled “The Riders”.

According to reports from the Saronic Gulf “rock isle”, the local community is anxiously anticipating the big budget movie production.

Producers, along with film crews, have already been on the island since Monday, with the overall production team expected to reach around 300 people.

The Municipality of Hydra has also welcomed the production, as news of the coming shooting has spread, attracting visitors and leading to an unprecedented occupancy rate for off-season February.

Although private motor vehicles are prohibited on the picturesque isle, the film production has received a temporary license to operate a handful of vehicles needed for transport and machinery.

Filming is set to begin on Friday and continue until March 5.

This marks the second Hollywood film to shot on Hydra, following the iconic 1957 movie “Boy on a Dolphin”, starring Sophia Loren.
