Well-known Greek-Swedish performer Helena Paparizou was hospitalized early Monday morning after reportedly feeling very unwell immediately after Sunday’s rehearsal of a local TV singing reality competition.

The one-time Eurovision winner’s (2005) condition was described as not concerning, although a clearer picture is expected after the first medical test results are scrutinized.

Paparizou’s record company, Minos EMI, issued an official statement briefing the public about the development and announcing that the performer will not be able to meet her scheduled professional gigs, including participation as a judge on the show.

“Our beloved Helena apologizes and asks for your understanding. We wholeheartedly wish her a speedy recovery and a quick return to her daily life,” the announcement read.
