Μake us preferred on Google Athens will host the Dog Festival 2026 on September 5 and 6, bringing dogs and their owners together for two days of music, creative activities, food, shopping and animal-welfare initiatives.
The urban festival will take place at the Old O.S.Y. Depot in Gazi, with its central focus on responsible pet ownership and the adoption of stray animals. The event is being held under the auspices of the Region of Attica and the City of Athens.
Dogs enter free when accompanied by their owners. Admission is also free for children up to 12 and for people with disabilities.

A key part of the festival will be Adopt & Care, where animal-welfare organizations will introduce visitors to dogs and other animals looking for permanent homes. The Greek animal-welfare group Ta Filakia will be joined by additional organizations and volunteers, giving visitors the opportunity to meet animals available for adoption and learn more about responsible adoption and support for strays.
The festival will also feature a range of hands-on workshops, including live tufting, punch needle, soap making, dog-bandana creation, painting on canvas and tote bags, candle making and mosaic making.

Music will take center stage on Saturday evening, with performances by Marseaux and Solmeister, preceded by opening acts dPans and Sourb1s.
The program will also include activities for children, stand-up comedy and a live broadcast by Love Radio. Food options will range from burgers, bao buns and hot dogs to ice cream and other desserts, while dozens of exhibitors and brands will offer pet and lifestyle products for both animals and their owners.

Organizers describe the Dog Festival as more than a pet event, presenting it as a gathering that brings together people, animals, animal-welfare organizations and creators around the goal of promoting responsible care and adoption.
