• 2 burger buns
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 pickled cucumbers and a little brine from the jar
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 2-3 drops Tabasco
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • A few leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 2 cod fillets


  1. Slice the onion into thin rings.
  2. In a bowl, combine the onion, sliced pickled cucumbers, and the brine from the pickles. Mix them together and set aside to marinate the onions.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Tabasco, lemon juice, dill, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Shred the iceberg lettuce.
  5. Split the burger buns in half.
  6. Spread mayonnaise inside the buns.
  7. Place the shredded iceberg lettuce inside, top with the fried fish fillet, and then add the marinated onions and pickles on top.
  8. Cover with the other half of the bun.
  9. Repeat for the second burger.
  10. Serve with potato chips and lemon wedges.
