On the city’s streets, where the battle for a few square centimeters of free space often resembles a daily sport, a small incident in Pangrati managed to combine urban reality with an unexpected touch of humor.
A video circulating on social media in recent hours captures a scene that could easily be described as the day’s most… ironic parking moment. Among parked cars, on the sidewalk, several e-scooters have been placed in such a way as to form a small “barrier” around a vehicle.

The image looks almost staged: the scooters lined up as if they had coordinated an informal protest, resembling more an urban satirical moment than an ordinary parking incident.
According to information accompanying the video, the incident took place on Monday evening in Pangrati. A car had been parked illegally, blocking the sidewalk and preventing pedestrians from passing. Someone—or perhaps several people—decided to offer their own, rather creative, response: they moved a number of scooters and positioned them around the vehicle, effectively blocking its way out.
The detail that makes the incident even more delightfully ironic is that the vehicle in question was not just any car. As seen in the video, it belongs to a driving school and is used for training learner drivers.
At that point, the scene takes on an almost symbolic dimension. It is hard not to recall the well-known saying about those who teach rules but fail to follow them themselves.
The “revenge of the scooters,” as many social media users were quick to call it, quickly went viral. Not so much because of the seriousness of the incident—which in reality appears rather harmless—but because of the clever, almost humorous reversal of roles.
In a city where scooters are often criticized for occupying sidewalks or being left scattered in public spaces, this time they seemed to have… taken their revenge.
Ultimately, the moment serves as a small, unofficial commentary on modern urban coexistence: more modes of transport, less available space, and a fair amount of creativity from city residents.
And as the video suggests, when parking rules are violated, the “punishment” may sometimes come from the most unexpected place—even from a few silent, two-wheeled scooters.
