Greek Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Vassilis Kikilias is in London for the 34th Regular Session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Assembly taking place from 24 Nov. to Dec. 3.

During the session, where he will deliver Greece’s national statement, Kikilias is set to join the Meeting of Heads of Delegations hosted by IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez. He will also attend the ceremony honoring Greece as part of the “International Maritime Prize – 2025 IMO Honors for Exceptional Bravery at Sea.”

On the sidelines of the Assembly, the minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings. These include talks with Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani; Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih; China’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Li Yang; and Marco M. Sylvester, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Affairs at the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs.

Kikilias will also host a working lunch for Malta’s Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works, Chris Bonett; Cyprus’s Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanoli; and Italy’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Edoardo Rixi.
