Greece’s ruling New Democracy party holds a 12-percentage-point lead over the opposition PASOK, according to a new opinion poll by Alco conducted for Alpha TV.

New Democracy posted a slight increase in voting intention, rising by 0.3 percentage points from the previous month to 23.6%. PASOK ranked second with 11.6%.

The far-right populist party Greek Solution (Elliniki Lysi) followed with 9.5%, while the Communist Party (KKE) stood at 7.3%. Course of Freedom (Plefsi Eleftherias) polled at 6.3%, and the left-wing Syriza fell to 4.7%.

A significant share of respondents remained undecided or declined to state a preference, accounting for 20.9% of those surveyed.

Over half the respondents (54%) said the government’s top priority in 2026 should be inflation, with only 17% considering transparency and meritocracy as the most pressing issues, while 15% focus on improving the public health system. Notably, concern over illegal immigration has dropped to 3%.

Asked whether the parliamentary inquiry committee into the OPEKEPE scandal would be substantive and lead to accountability, 69% of respondents said no, according to the survey.

Only 16% said they believe the committee’s work would be meaningful and result in the assignment of responsibility, while 15% did not respond.
