New US ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle arrived at Greece’s Parliament in downtown Athens on Wednesday morning for a courtesy visit, where she was greeted and given a tour of the legislature by Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis.
The very high-profile new ambassador to the country, whose served as a top adviser to US President Donald Trump during his first term and also lists national television pundit and former San Francisco prosecutor to her credits, presented her credentials to the Greek president last month to rank as Washington’s leading diplomat in the country.

Kaklamanis greeted Guilfoyle at Parliament’s main entrance with a single red rose before waiting reporters, photographers and Parliament staff.
After a tour of the historic and imposing building on Syntagma square, the two reportedly discussed issues dealing with bilateral cooperation between Athens and Washington.
