Ruling New Democracy (ND) party maintained a clear lead with 26.1% of respondents’ preference in a new Interview poll presented on the site Politic, although the focus has increasingly shifted to a heated battle for second place amid growing speculation over a potential new party led by former premier Alexis Tsipras.

The poll, by the firm Interview, showed that a new party led by Tsipras would attract 12.8%, narrowly ahead of main opposition PASOK, which stood at 12.3%.

PASOK, which garnered 13.5% in April 2026 and 12.3% in May, appeared to lose its position as the uncontested second political force in the polls, according to the opinion poll.

A new political formation led by Maria Karystianou, listed in the poll with the name “Hope for Democracy” party, came in fourth with 7.5%, maintaining a stable electoral base, at least in the specific poll, and despite the emergence of the Tsipras factor.

By contrast, leftist ΣΥΡΙΖΑ continued to implode, falling far short of the all-important 3% threshold – at 0.5% – effectively losing almost all of its polling support.

Other parties included right-wing Greek Solution at 5.8%, the Communist Party (ΚΚΕ) at 5%, and the out-of-parliament Voice of Reason far-right party at 3.9%

The number of undecided voters fell to 12.7% from 14.8% in April, suggesting part of the electorate is beginning to realign politically.

The poll also found that 45% of respondents viewed Tsipras more negatively compared with his 2015-2019 period in office, while 32% said their opinion remained unchanged and 20% viewed him more positively.

Half of respondents said they believe political parties in Greece, either inside or outside parliament, receive favorable treatment or support from Russia, while 33% said they do not believe such parties exist.
