A 23-year-old man accused of involvement in a bomb incident in Vorizia, Crete, has been released under strict conditions, the Heraklion Judicial Council announced.
The suspect was arrested in connection with the detonation of a homemade explosive device at the residence of a family member of the Frangiadakis family on the night of October 31.
The case had sparked a legal disagreement between the investigating magistrate and the public prosecutor regarding whether the suspect should remain in custody. Following deliberation, the Judicial Council decided to release him under strict terms.
Among the conditions set for his release is a bail payment of €100,000. The decision allows the suspect to remain free while the investigation continues.
