Beauty Bookings Boom as Greeks Prepare for Summer Holidays

Beauty bookings in Greece rose faster than anywhere else in Europe, driven by pre-vacation demand and growing UK interest

Greece recorded the largest increase in beauty and wellness bookings in Europe ahead of the summer holiday season, according to Treatwell, a Europe-wide online platform for booking hair, beauty and wellness appointments.

Bookings for beauty services, including manicures, pedicures, hair coloring and haircuts, rose by 13.75% between May and June, marking the strongest growth among Treatwell’s 15 markets.

Pedicures recorded the highest increase, up 12.7%, followed by manicures (11.3%), and hair services (4.1%), highlighting a seasonal surge in demand as Greeks prepare for their summer holidays.

The data also showed that demand for beauty services in Greece peaks during the weeks leading up to Christmas and around Valentine’s Day, while wellness and massage treatments remain consistently popular.

Other key findings for Greece include:

– One in five appointments is booked more than two weeks in advance.

– Nearly half (47.8%) of bookings are made outside business hours.

– Sunday is the most popular day for Greeks to book beauty appointments.

– More than half of customers (58.3%) are returning clients.

The study also found that Greece is emerging as one of the fastest-growing beauty and wellness destinations for British travelers, with bookings from UK customers increasing by 38%.
