New details have emerged regarding the deadly train attack in Germany, in which a 26-year-old Greek man fatally assaulted a 36-year-old Turkish ticket inspector.
According to Der Spiegel, the suspect had been involved in a previous incident on a different train earlier the same day. The earlier episode occurred on a train arriving in Kaiserslautern from France, where the man allegedly kicked a door, prompting train staff to alert authorities.
Police reportedly did not detain him, as no damage was caused and he was in possession of a valid ticket, allowing him to continue his journey.
Approximately five hours later, the same man allegedly struck the Turkish ticket inspector on the head after being asked to leave a train for failing to show his ticket. The victim later died from his injuries, and authorities have charged the suspect with murder.
