Μake us preferred on Google An elderly man has died by suicide in the local community of Elaionas, in Pyrgos, northwest Peloponnese.
According to local media ilialive.gr, the 75-year-old was found dead Friday morning (28/8) by family members at his home.
Reports indicate that the man hanged himself inside a well.
Fire service personnel were called to the scene, and police have opened a preliminary investigation.
Firefighters retrieved the elderly man’s body from the well, and it was handed over to an ambulance for transport to Pyrgos Hospital.
Early Friday morning, a female neighbor said she had seen him at his home shortly before he was found dead.
