Four Arrested Over 25 Burglaries on Greek Island of Paros

Police say three foreign nationals and a Greek citizen were arrested after an investigation linked them to 25 thefts and attempted burglaries between July 29 and Aug. 21

Greek police have arrested four people accused of being part of a criminal organization involved in burglaries at homes on the island of Paros.

The Paros Police Department said three foreign nationals, ages 20, 38 and 50, and a 23-year-old Greek citizen were arrested following an investigation into a series of thefts and attempted burglaries.

Police said they solved a total of 25 cases that occurred between July 29 and Aug. 21.

Cash, jewelry and other valuables seized

During searches carried out as part of the investigation, police found and seized a large quantity of stolen property, including jewelry, watches, clothing and accessories.

Authorities also seized €44,565 in cash, £440, $250, burglary tools and a passenger vehicle.

The four suspects are being taken to the Syros Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
