Greece has officially published the government decision launching its “Tourism for All 2026–2027” program, introducing a new round of holiday vouchers worth up to €600 to support domestic tourism.
Following publication in the Government Gazette, the online platform for applications is expected to open within the coming days. Eligible applicants will submit their requests digitally through a dedicated state portal using tax credentials, with beneficiaries selected through an electronic lottery system.
Seasonal-based voucher amounts
A key change in the new program is that the value of the voucher now depends on the period in which the recipient chooses to travel, with higher support offered during the off-peak season to encourage year-round tourism.
The scheme is divided into two travel periods: peak season (May to September) and off-peak season (October to April).
During the peak season, vouchers range from €200 for most applicants to €400 for people with disabilities or families with dependents with significant disability status. Higher amounts are also available for single-parent families, large families, and pensioners.
For the off-peak season, support increases, with vouchers ranging from €300 up to €600 for eligible beneficiaries, again with the highest amount reserved for applicants with disabilities or families with disabled dependents. Additional top-ups are also provided for households with four or more children.
Where applicants fall into more than one category, they will automatically be placed in the group that grants the highest financial support.
Eligibility and income criteria
The program is open to adult tax residents who have submitted a completed income tax return for the most recent fiscal year.
Individuals with a disability rating of 67% or higher, as well as parents of children with similar disability status, are included in the program regardless of income.
For other applicants, eligibility depends on annual income thresholds, which vary according to marital status and number of dependent children. The limits range from €21,000 for single applicants to €58,000 for larger families with seven or more children.
Who is excluded
Certain categories are not eligible to participate. These include individuals who were selected for Greece’s 2026–2027 social tourism program, as well as those chosen in a previous cycle of the “Tourism for All” scheme, whether or not they used their voucher.
Exceptions are made for participants with disabilities or parents of children with disabilities.
How the digital card works
The financial support will be issued through a digital debit card, allowing recipients to spend the funds exclusively on accommodation. The card can be used through booking platforms or directly with accommodation providers.
Eligible businesses include hotels, registered tourist accommodations, campsites, and other lodging services with designated merchant category codes.
Personal data of applicants will be stored in the system for five years in accordance with European data protection rules.
