Photos from Greece’s first rehearsal at Eurovision Song Contest 2026 were released on Sunday, May 3, offering an early glimpse of the staging for “Ferto,” crafted under the creative direction of Fokas Evangelinos.
Akylas took to the stage at Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna for Greece’s first rehearsal on Saturday, May 2. Delivering “Ferto” with his signature intensity, the performance blends humor and energy within a video game-inspired concept.
On stage, Akylas interacts with four distinct characters before breaking the narrative in a striking moment: stepping out of his role, removing his glasses, and addressing his mother in an emotionally charged segment.
The rehearsal was deemed a success, meeting the expectations of the Greek delegation.
Creative Team
The staging is brought to life by a team of seasoned collaborators: Christos Magnanas (video artist), Giannis Mourikis (set designer), Giorgos Tellos (lighting designer), Filippos Missas (costume designer for Akylas), and Giorgos Segredakis (costume designer for the four characters).
What’s Next
Greece’s second rehearsal is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6. Akylas will perform fourth in the first semi-final on May 12, aiming to secure a place in the Grand Final, set to take place on May 16.
