Greece will experience generally favorable weather conditions on Wednesday, December 17, with widespread sunshine and only limited cloud cover. A few locally increased clouds are expected over eastern mainland regions, Halkidiki, and Crete, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

Temperatures will remain seasonable. In Western Macedonia, lows will range from -4°C to highs around 11°C. Elsewhere in Macedonia and Thrace, temperatures will range from -2°C to 12–14°C. Thessaly will see values between 1°C and 13–15°C, while Epirus ranges from 2°C to 15–16°C. Other mainland areas will experience temperatures from 3°C up to 16–18°C. The Ionian Islands will see milder conditions between 6°C and 16–17°C, while the Aegean islands and Crete range from 7°C to 16–18°C.

Winds in the Aegean Sea will blow from northern directions at 4–5 Beaufort, locally reaching 6 Beaufort, which may impact sea travel. In the Ionian Sea, winds will be variable and lighter, up to 4 Beaufort.

Athens will see mostly thin cloud cover, with northerly to northeasterly winds at 3–4 Beaufort, locally up to 5 Beaufort in eastern parts of Attica. Temperatures in the city center will range from 9°C to 16°C.

Thessaloniki will experience generally fair weather with scattered clouds. Visibility may be reduced overnight and early in the morning. Winds will be light and variable at 2–3 Beaufort, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 13°C.
