Unstable weather is expected across Greece on Monday, February 9, with rain and thunderstorms affecting many areas, especially from midday onward. Snowfall will occur in mainland mountainous regions and in semi-mountainous parts of Thrace. Temperatures will decline compared to previous days, and easterly winds will strengthen in the northern Aegean.

Through the morning, rain and thunderstorms will affect the northern Ionian Islands, parts of Epirus and Macedonia, and the islands of the northern Aegean. The unsettled weather will quickly spread across the rest of western and northern Greece.

After midday, conditions will gradually impact most mainland areas, the Sporades, and the islands of the northeastern Aegean. From late evening, rain and thunderstorms will also reach the Cyclades, Crete, and the Dodecanese.

Storms may be locally intense, with significant rainfall totals expected in Corfu, Halkidiki, and especially eastern Thessaly. Snowfall is forecast for mainland mountain areas and, by evening, at lower elevations in parts of Thrace, mainly in the north.
