On Wednesday, Greece will experience mostly sunny weather, though clouds will increase in central and northern regions. From the afternoon onward, local showers and possible thunderstorms are expected in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, while the rest of the country will remain largely dry.
Temperatures will be seasonally warm. In Western Macedonia, values will range from 11–29°C, while the rest of Macedonia and Thrace will see 10–31/32°C. Thessaly will be hotter at 12–34/35°C, while Epirus will record 11–31/33°C. Across the rest of the mainland, temperatures will range from 12–33°C. The Ionian Islands will see 17–31°C, while the Aegean Islands and Crete will reach 17–32/33°C.
Winds in the Aegean Sea will blow from northerly directions at 4–5 Beaufort, locally reaching 6 Beaufort, with a strengthening trend from the north overnight. In the Ionian Sea, northwesterly winds will reach 4–5 Beaufort and locally up to 6 Beaufort.
In Athens, conditions will be clear, with light variable winds up to 2–3 Beaufort. A significant increase in northerly winds is expected from early Thursday morning. Temperatures will range between 23–31°C.
In Thessaloniki, the weather will be mostly sunny with some passing clouds. Winds will blow from the northwest at 4–5 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 22–30°C.
Overall, Wednesday will be bright and warm across Greece, with only the northeast at risk of showers or storms later in the day. Stronger winds at sea will be a factor overnight, especially in the Aegean.
