Greek police carried out a large-scale operation in the suburb of Zefyri, west of Athens, on Wednesday morning, aiming to crack down on illegal activity and strengthen public safety in the area.
According to police, the operation involved multiple law enforcement units, including organized crime and rapid response teams, traffic police, and drone surveillance.
Authorities said the action formed part of broader targeted interventions in western Attica, where police have intensified efforts to combat criminal activity and repeated violations.
Ten Arrests Over Electricity Theft
During the operation, officers arrested 10 people accused of illegal electricity connections. Criminal case files were prepared and submitted to prosecutors for further legal action.
In cooperation with the national electricity distribution network operator, crews also dismantled approximately 1,140 metres of cables allegedly used for power theft.
Dozens of Traffic Violations Recorded
Police additionally reported 27 traffic violations during the raid. The offences included driving without a licence, failure to wear seatbelts, lack of child safety seats, and missing vehicle inspection certificates.
