Civil Protection Urges Vigilance and Caution

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has already alerted all relevant government services, regional and municipal authorities in the affected areas, urging them to remain on heightened readiness to respond swiftly to any wildfire outbreaks.
At the same time, citizens are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, especially when outdoors.

The public is urged to avoid any activities that could inadvertently spark a fire, such as:

• Burning dry grass, branches, or clearing debris
• Using tools that produce sparks, such as angle grinders or welding devices
• Operating outdoor grills
• Smoking near forested areas
• Disposing of lit cigarettes
• Practicing open-flame beekeeping techniques

Civil Protection emphasizes that open burning of fields is strictly prohibited during the fire season.
