One of the last “old guard” Greek industrialists, Viohalco Group’s Nikolaos Stassinopoulos, passed away on Saturday at the age of 95.
A succinct post on the company’s website described the discreet but highly influential Greek industrialist as follows: “…Nikolaos Stassinopoulos, Chairman, non-executive member. Mr. Stassinopoulos holds a master’s degree from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Viohalco Hellenic.”
For decades,
For decades Stassinopoulos led Viohalco, a “pillar” of Greek industry, with a strong international presence across the globe.
He survived by two sons, Yiannis and Michalis Stassinopoulos, who are top executives within the group.
