The heating allowance application process for the 2025–2026 winter season has officially begun in Greece, giving eligible residents financial support for heating costs. Applicants can submit or correct their applications until December 5, according to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).

To avoid common errors, AADE released a detailed guide outlining the process on the myΘέρμανση (myThermansi) application through the myAADE digital portal. Applications require TAXISnet credentials, and applicants must have declared a valid IBAN account under their own name before submission.

Special instructions apply to apartment buildings using shared heating systems. Building managers must create a heating profile for all apartments, entering each unit’s share of heating costs to enable tenants to receive their subsidy. In cases where the manager changes or none exists, residents must coordinate to update the building’s information.

AADE warns that incorrect IBANs or mismatched taxpayer IDs (AFM) between invoices and applications can delay or block payments. Purchases of heating fuel such as diesel, gas, biomass, or electricity made between October 2025 and March 2026 qualify for the subsidy, depending on fuel type.

Payments will be made in installments, starting with a 60% advance for previous recipients by December 23, and continuing through May 2026. Applicants are urged to check all details carefully to ensure eligibility and timely payment before the first phase closes on December 5.
