Marilyn Monroe and Barbie are coming together to mark the 100th anniversary of the actress’ birth, with Mattel releasing a new collectible Barbie Signature doll dedicated to the Hollywood legend.
According to Mattel Inc., the doll is inspired by Monroe’s iconic appearance while performing “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
The collectible doll wears a strapless, bright pink dress with a large bow and black detailing, and is accessorized with diamond-inspired jewelry.
It is the seventh Barbie created by Mattel in honor of Monroe since 1997, highlighting the actress’ enduring popularity and legacy decades after her death.
