A mild earthquake was recorded on the Ionian island of Zakynthos at 6:59 a.m. on Friday, June 20.
According to data from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre and the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the tremor had a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale.
The Geodynamic Institute reported that the epicenter of the quake was located in the sea, approximately 108 kilometers west-southwest of Volimes, Zakynthos, and at a distance of 373 km west of Athens.
