Greece’s “Parmenion 2025” national joint military exercise concluded on Friday, October 3, 2025, after running for over a week across the country’s entire operational area. The large-scale exercise, directed by the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), involved comprehensive participation from all three branches of the armed forces and the Special Warfare Command.

The exercise aimed to test operational planning, coordination, and execution of joint military operations. Personnel from the army, navy, and air force trained in practical scenarios to improve their readiness and effectiveness in multi-branch operations.

In addition to military units, the exercise integrated security services and civilian agencies to evaluate the National Alert System for Civil Defense and Emergency Planning. This allowed officials to assess crisis management procedures and ensure interoperability between military and civilian response systems.

The operation also served as a foundation for exercises in the Crisis Management System, enhancing the synchronization of operations across all major commands within the new armed forces structure.

“Parmenion 2025” represents Greece’s continued focus on strengthening operational readiness, civil-military coordination, and strategic crisis response capabilities in an evolving security environment.
