Georgios Lanthimos’ film “Poor Things” took home five BAFTAs last night, at the 2024 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards held in London.

Poor Things took home BAFTAs for Best costume design, Best makeup and hair, Best production design and Best special visual effects. Meanwhile, Emma Stone took home Best leading actress.

Although Lanthimos’ film was nominated for Best film, the award went to “Oppenheimer,” which also took Best director, Best leading actor, Best supporting actor, Best cinematography, Best editing, Best original score, and Best sound.

The BAFTA Awards is an annual film awards ceremony that rewards the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens during the preceding year.
