Μake us preferred on Google A case involving reports of repeated rape and blackmail of a minor is being investigated on the Greek island of Skiathos after a 15-year-old reported a 17-year-old to police.
According to information cited by the Greek reports, the 15-year-old went to the Skiathos Police Department with his father several days ago and gave a detailed statement about the abuse.
The teenager reportedly told authorities that he had been subjected to sexual acts against his will by the now-17-year-old since 2024. He stated that the abuse occurred on a daily basis and that the 17-year-old used violence to force him into sexual intercourse.
The 15-year-old also reported that the teenager recorded him on a cellphone and repeatedly threatened to release the video footage at his school and online.
According to the report, the threats and abuse continued for about 2½ years. The teenager reportedly told police that the 17-year-old had also appeared at his workplace, where he was working during the summer, several days before the complaint and demanded that they have sexual intercourse.
The 15-year-old eventually told his parents about the abuse after, according to people familiar with the case, he could no longer cope with the pressure and psychological distress.
Police investigation
After the teenager arrived at the police station, officers called a psychologist to assist him during his lengthy statement and help address the trauma he was experiencing, according to the report.
Police subsequently brought the 17-year-old and his father to the station.
The 17-year-old reportedly denied the allegations, saying that he and the 15-year-old were friends and that their relationship had been consensual. His cellphone was confiscated as part of the investigation.
The 17-year-old was arrested, while his father was also arrested on an allegation of inadequate supervision of a minor. Police followed the immediate arrest procedure for offenses falling within the applicable time limit for that process.
For the felony allegations, authorities opened a criminal case file, while the Skiathos Police Department took over the preliminary investigation.
