The Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias, through its Deputy Mayorship for Tourism, is set to present the “Markopoulo Mesogaias Gastronomic Experiences Festival 2026” on May 23–24, 2026, in co-organization with the Association of Restaurateurs and Related Professions.

Under the title “The Flavors of the Mesogeia,” the festival aims to spotlight the rich culinary heritage of the region, support local producers and the hospitality sector, and further strengthen the growing appeal of gastronomic tourism in Eastern Attica.

The opening day of the festival will feature a festive evening of culinary demonstrations, honorary awards recognizing professionals originating from the Municipality of Markopoulo who have distinguished themselves in Greece and abroad, as well as events dedicated to local gastronomic heritage and creativity.

Sunday, May 24, 2026 | 11:00 am– 7:00 pm
The second day will continue with cooking demonstrations, tastings, thematic workshops, and presentations of local products, offering the public a complete immersive culinary experience.
Admission to all events is free for the public.
