Traffic regulations have been announced by the authorities on account of the “International Tour of Hellas” cycling event which will take place across Athens on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Regulations or temporary traffic interruptions will be in place on avenues, streets, and squares in the municipalities of Athens, Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, Palaio Faliro, Alimos, Elliniko-Argyroupoli, Glyfada, Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni, and Kropia from early in the morning up to 3 p.m.

Drivers are requested, both for their own convenience and for the prevention of additional traffic issues, to avoid driving towards the specified streets and to follow the instructions of the traffic police.

Apart from vehicular traffic, police have also issued a request to pedestrians, cyclists not partaking in the race, and those riding scooters not to enter or cross the race route during the designated timeframe, but to rather follow the instructions provided by the traffic police and volunteers of the event.

Detailed Traffic Regulations

Athens Municipality:

Temporary, gradual, and complete traffic interruption for vehicle (expect emergency vehicles) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and prohibition of parking from Saturday 10:00 p.m. through Sunday 3 p.m. on the following avenues, streets, and squares:

  • Vasilissis Amalias Avenue, throughout its length and both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Ardittou Street, throughout its length and both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Vasileos Konstantinos Avenue throughout its length and both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Filellinon Street, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Stadiou Street, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Aiolou Street, between Panepistimiou and Stadiou Streets, both directions.
  • Panepistimiou Avenue, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Akadimias Street, between Charilaou Trikoupi and Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Syntagma Square.
  • Patision Street, between Ioulianou and Omonoia Squares, direction towards Omonoia Square, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, throughout its length and both directions.
  • Syngrou Avenue, between Amvrosiou Frantzi and Vasilissis Amalias Avenue, both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Athanasiou Diakou Street, throughout its length, direction towards Syngrou Avenue.
  • Herodou Attikou Street, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Karaiskaki Square.
  • Piraeus Street, between Iera Odos and Omonoia Square, direction towards Omonoia Square, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Athinas Street, between Sofokleous Street and Omonoia Square, both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Vouliagmenis Avenue, between Timoleon and Ardittou Streets, direction towards Athanasiou Diakou Street.
  • Ilioupoleos Street, between Ymittou and Timoleon Streets, direction towards Athanasiou Diakou Street.
  • Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, between Zacharof Street and Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue, traffic direction towards Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue.
  • Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, between Vasileos Konstantinou and Vasslissis Amalias Avenues, both directions, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.
  • Acropolis Junction.
  • Roberto Galli Street, between the Propylaia and Acropolis Junction, including its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road.

Municipalities of Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, Palaio Faliro, Alimos, and Elliniko-Argyroupoli:

Temporary, gradual, and complete traffic interruptions on the following Avenues:

  • Syngrou Avenue, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road, direction towards Glyfada, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Poseidonos Avenue, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road, direction towards Glyfada, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Poseidonos Avenue, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road, direction towards Athens, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Syngrou Avenue, throughout its length and its perpendicular roads up to the first parallel road, direction towards Athens, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Area of the Municipalities of Elliniko-Argyroupoli, Glyfada, Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni, and Kropia:

Temporary, gradual, and complete traffic interruptions from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as follows:

  • On the coastal Avenues (Poseidonos Avenue – Konstantinou Karamanli Avenue, Athinas Avenue and Athens-Sounio Avenue), between Vita Street and Agia Marina Avenue, on both directions.
