Police have introduced traffic restrictions in downtown Athens due to the final events of the Athens Municipality Festival 2025, which concludes today.
The following road closures are currently in effect:
Ermou Street, from Agion Somaton Street to Monastiraki Square
Athinas Street, from Evripidou Street to Monastiraki Square
According to authorities, traffic is expected to return to normal late Sunday evening.
Festival highlights include the “This is Athens City Festival 2025 Closing Party,” featuring Liva K — one of Greece’s most prominent and internationally acclaimed DJs and producers. He will be joined by fellow artists Atsou and Le Croque of Madorasindahouse, the Greek label and creative collective known for its global impact on the afro house scene.
In addition, open-air cinema screenings are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Eleftherias Park, next to the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron).
