Spectators young and old were left in awe as fighter jets roared over Flisvos Beach in Palaio Faliro shortly after noon on Sunday, filling the sky with thunder and precision maneuvers.

The breathtaking air show was part of the celebrations honoring the Patron Saint of the Hellenic Air Force, Archangel Michael. Among the attendees were Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias, senior Armed Forces officials, and hundreds of onlookers who lined the coastline to witness the spectacle.

All eyes turned skyward as sleek F-35s, powerful Rafales, and the famed “Zeus” F-16 demonstration team executed daring formations and high-speed passes. Historic and civilian aircraft also joined the display, offering a rare glimpse of aviation past and present in perfect harmony.

The celebration continues on Sunday, with additional air shows organized by the Hellenic Air Force in Athens, Volos, and Tripoli.

• Volos (Beachfront): Solo display by the F-16 “Zeus” Demonstration Team.
• Tripoli (124 Basic Training Wing): Aerobatic performance by the T-6A “Daedalus” Team.

For a few dazzling minutes, the skies over Greece belonged to the pilots — and they made sure every gaze was lifted in admiration.
