A 24-year-old woman was found dead inside her apartment in the Sykies district of Thessaloniki on Sunday, with authorities awaiting the results of a forensic examination to determine the cause of her death.

The woman, who was originally from North Macedonia, had been reported missing by family members after they were unable to contact her.

According to initial reports, a person connected to the woman went to the second-floor apartment and entered through the balcony door, where she was found unconscious.

A forensic pathologist examined the body at the scene and, according to the initial visual assessment, found no obvious signs indicating criminal involvement.

The body has been transferred to the local forensic service, where an autopsy will be carried out to establish the exact cause and circumstances of the woman’s death.
