NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo’s family, namely, his wife Mariah and their four pre-school children, has reportedly moved to Athens on a permanent basis.

According to a report in “To Vima”, Antetokounmpo’s wife and children have already moved into a brand new futuristic-looking and custom-build apartment complex in Athens’ “diplomatic row” neighborhood, Paleo Psychiko. The complex features separate apartments for each of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brothers, and one for his widowed mother.

According to the “Grace” column of “To Vima”, after months of discussions by the entire Antetokounmpo clan, Mariah was asked if she preferred Milwaukee, where Giannis plays for the NBA’s Bucks, or Athens, with the nod going to the Greek capital.

The couple’s two eldest children, five-year-old Liam Charles and four-year-old Maverick Shai, have also started attending an elite private kindergarten in the same district.

The NBA champion (2021) and two-time league MVP (2019 and 2020) is already back in Milwaukee ahead of the coming start of the season. Over the past summer he competed with the Greek national team in the Eurobasket 2025 competition, with the “Blues” coming away with third place and the bronze medal.

A hard-earned vacation for the Giannis Antetokounmpo family was taken at the Costa NavarinoTapping into Golf Tourism Next Goal for Greece resort in extreme southwest Greece.

In the meantime, Giannis will probably rely on webcam communication to see his family on a daily basis, as well as flights between the US and Greece, NBA schedule permitting.

His wife and kids will reportedly return to Milwaukee for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
