Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasizes Greece’s stance on EU defense, Ukraine, Middle East peace efforts, and migration following talks with European Council President Antonio Costa
Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis hosted the European Council President for dinner on Sunday, ahead of today's meeting at the Maximos Mansion
“My thoughts are with the victims in Ukraine and with the staff of the EU delegation, whose building was damaged in this deliberate Russian strike,” Costa wrote on X.
Shortly after the release of exit polls regarding Germany’s elections on Sunday evening, Costa announced the convening of an emergency European Council meeting on March 6, 2025.
Costa added that discussions clearly focus on anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense, as well as on missiles, ammunition, and mobility.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Russian forces continue their offensive, targeting villages in the industrial Donbas region and launching airstrikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as winter intensifies.
