Ferry travel in Greece is facing widespread disruption for a second day as strong winds in the Aegean have led authorities to impose a sailing ban and ferry companies to cancel or modify numerous services.

Ships remain docked at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio, while morning departures from Piraeus have not operated until further notice, subject to the judgment and responsibility of individual captains.

The adverse weather is affecting a significant number of travelers who had planned to travel to destinations across the Greek islands.
