TUI is strengthening its footprint in the Greek holiday market, announcing new direct flights to the island of Kos from Bournemouth, Exeter and London Stansted starting in summer 2026.
The move marks a milestone for regional UK travel, as Bournemouth and Exeter will gain direct connections to the popular Greek island for the first time, while Stansted sees the return of a route suspended in 2019.
According to TUI management, the expansion responds to growing demand among British travelers for holidays in Greece, while offering greater flexibility and more travel options for passengers across southern England. The new routes will be supported by a wide range of booking options, from short three-night getaways to traditional seven-, ten- and fourteen-night stays, catering to different travel preferences and budgets.
Part of a broader Mediterranean strategy
Neil Swanson, Managing Director of TUI UK & Ireland, said the new services form part of a wider strategy aimed at improving access to popular Mediterranean destinations, with Greek islands remaining a core focus. From May 2026, travelers will be able to book both full holiday packages and flight-only options at competitive prices.
TUI’s announcement also fits into a broader expansion of air connections between the UK and southern Europe for 2026. Airlines including Jet2, easyJet and British Airways are also increasing routes and frequencies, reflecting the sustained popularity of sunny Mediterranean destinations among British tourists.
A boost for Kos tourism
For Kos in particular, the new direct services are expected to significantly strengthen tourist arrivals from the UK market, making the island more accessible and attractive to an even wider audience during the 2026 summer season.
