Virginia “Gina” Huynh, former partner of American rapper Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, has submitted a letter of support to a New York judge, requesting his release on bail ahead of his final court appearance. The letter was sent on Sunday, August 3.

Huynh had previously been listed as “Victim-3” in the case against Diddy. Although initially expected to testify against him, she later withdrew. During the trial, prosecutors informed the court they had lost contact with her and her attorney, and it remained unclear whether she would appear. In her letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, Huynh disclosed her identity and called for the court to allow Diddy to be released on bail.

She wrote that the rapper should be allowed to “continue caring for his family and fulfilling his responsibilities while under the supervision of the court.”

Huynh also stated that Combs, founder of Bad Boy Records, “does not pose a danger to the public.” Reflecting on their personal relationship, she noted, “Our relationship, like many others, was not perfect. We had ups and downs and mistakes were made, but he was willing to recognize them.”

She described him as cooperative throughout the legal process: “During the investigation and proceedings, he was compliant and respectful. He has strong ties to his family and community. Allowing him to return home would help in the healing process for all involved.”

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and faces serious charges including human trafficking and extortion. His sentencing is scheduled for October 3, 2025.
