US Secretary of State Marco Rubio referenced the killing of 72-year-old Vagia Nestora during a US State Department event on political terrorism, describing the case as an example of politically motivated violence.
Speaking at the conference, titled “Reviving the Fight Against Political Terrorism,” Rubio addressed ambassadors from countries participating in the event alongside US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, explaining the purpose of the gathering.
Although he did not mention Nestora by name, Rubio referred to the case of a 72-year-old woman in Greece who suffered burns over more than 80% of her body after a Molotov cocktail attack on her home and later died from her injuries.
