The international film scene gains a notable Greek presence with the participation of Kimon Kouris in the much-anticipated film The Riders, starring Brad Pitt. Filming is taking place across striking Greek locations—including Hydra, Chalkida, Nea Makri, Kotzia Square, in Athens, Menidi, and Penteli—giving the country a distinctive role in this ambitious international project.

Kouris appears alongside Lara Pulver in a large ensemble cast that also includes Julianne Nicholson, Coco Greenstone, Michael Smiley, Danny Huston, Camille Cottin, and Ulrich Thomsen. The film is based on the 1994 novel by Australian author Tim Winton, following Scully, a man who travels across Europe with his young daughter Billie in search of his missing wife.

Blending the urgency of a personal quest with deep emotional undercurrents, the production promises a compelling cinematic experience. The roles of Kouris and Pulver remain under wraps, further fueling anticipation.

Direction is helmed by Edward Berger, with the screenplay adapted by David Kajganich. The film is produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss for Scott Free Productions, alongside Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dede Gardner for Plan B Entertainment.
