Athens Workshop Invites Participants to Paint Ceramic Plates

Set against the Athenian skyline, the evening experience will combine hands-on ceramics, wine, food and music, with participants taking home their finished work after a second firing

Athens will host a hands-on ceramic painting workshop on September 10, inviting participants to create their own decorated plate under the city’s open sky.

The three-hour workshop, organized by Tales in Tiles, will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at a rooftop venue in the Koukaki–Philopappou area, about 60 meters from the brand’s experience store.

Participants will paint a ceramic plate with guidance from painter Myrto Gavrili. The organizers will provide each participant with a plate that has already undergone its first firing, while no previous artistic or ceramics experience is required.

The evening will also feature wine, finger food and music, accompanied by unobstructed views toward the horizon.

The finished plates will not be ready to take home immediately. After the workshop, the pieces will be glazed and fired for a second time, with collection expected two to three weeks later.

Participants can reserve a place through the Tales in Tiles website. Registered participants will receive information by email about how to reach the rooftop venue a few days before the event.
