It follows the life of a conservative Romanian-Norwegian couple that moves to a progressive small town in Norway. As they make new family friends, scrutiny arises over their parenting and causes alarm for the local authorities.

Greek cinema has produced some truly historic films, a few of which reappear on our big screens in Athens when summer rolls around!

Blood on the Land has a central theme of class consciousness, as two brothers dispute over workers’ rights. The film was nominated for an Oscar in 1966 for Best Foreign Language Film, and is widely regarded as one of Georgiadis’ most emblematic works.

This special screening is part of Cine Paris’ “Greek Classics” series that celebrates Greek cinema.
