Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met and held talks in Zagreb on Friday with his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenković, a meeting held on the sidelines of a European People’s Party (EPP) grouping meeting today and Saturday in the Croatian capital.

During their meeting, the two leaders discussed issues of bilateral and European interest, with an emphasis on the competitiveness of the European economy, which is on the agenda of the informal European Council meeting on Feb. 12.

Plenković is also the president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), while Mitsotakis heads up the ruling New Democracy (ND) party in Greece, both of whom are members of the center-right EPP grouping in the European Parliament.
