Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke by phone on Monday afternoon with Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, the former’s office announced.

According to reports, the two leaders exchanged views on the situation revolving around the Iran conflict and the broader Middle East, while they also discussed possible prospects for peace following recent developments.

On Thursday, the Greek prime minister will travel to the northern city of Thessaloniki, first visiting the Institute of Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks, before touring two local construction sites for a high school and primary school, respectively.

Mitsotakis is also scheduled to tour the Thessaloniki Port Authority.
