Μake us preferred on Google A memorial service for Lena Samara, the 34-year-old daughter of Antonis Samaras and Georgia Samara who died suddenly on August 7, 2025, was held today at the First Cemetery.
The ceremony was attended by her parents, her brother Kostas, relatives, family friends, and a large crowd. Politicians were also present, including Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias.
As the Health Ministry had announced at the time, Lena Samara was taken to Sismanogleio Hospital on the afternoon of August 7. She was later transferred to Evangelismos Hospital, where, during efforts to determine the cause of her condition, she suffered a rapid deterioration and, despite the efforts of medical and nursing staff, died.
